Eight Post: Visiting an art gallery

However I truly believe that Art is the best thing that human beings have. However it is more complicated when we are required to submit our opinion about art in a different language than Spanish, which in this case is English. This post has the intention that you could share your opinion about last Thursday’s visit. Tell the class which artwork you liked the most, and which one you did not like. Tell us why, what or how did they make you feel, or imagine even if you wanted to decorate your home or your office, and you could afford it, which art piece would you buy and why. (No less than a hundred words please.) All right, here’s my experience:
I’ll start by being really honest with you guys, when we visited the first gallery, named 1er Piso, not 3er Piso, seemed a little bit boring although the place was nice and comfortable all the pieces presented there looked all the same to me, I mean, there were not any surprises. I probably liked one or two pieces but they are not the ones that I would kill to have them. This was the reason I decided to take you to the gallery in the University building, and I believe it was a good choice because we could find more surprising stuff. For instance, I enjoyed the pieces made with hair, and I think, my favorite piece was the first work, which was right at the entrance. It was a boy’s silhouette that looked like suffering because he was tied up. I imagined all the care that the artist had to take when doing this piece because it seems to be a very delicate work. This piece also reminded me of my childhood, and I remember being a happy child, who never suffered, and I think the artist here wanted to give us the message that we have to protect the children from bad things. Anyway, I think that if I had enough money I definitively would buy this piece. I liked this visit, what about you?

Is too difficult to talk about the art for me but I going to try….
For me the art is a very subjective thing because some people can to see art in all places but for other people is really difficult estimates the art.
I like some expressions of art than the music or painting, but really like me the Mexican crafts.
When we went to gallery art the last Thursday, in the first place (I forgot the name) I liked the painting called “Esta noche me duele la cabeza” because I thing it was really difficult to make.
In the second place, I liked the fist piece made with hair and I didn’t like the shoes in the gallery because I didn’t estimate the art in this work.
In general I most liked the gallery “Primer Piso” (I read in the Chuy’s comment), because also I could to turn the pages of some interesting magazines.
The visit I loved because the art can to provoke some feelings into me.
This time my comment is short but It was that I liked me.

Well…First gallery that we visited some pictures I liked were very pretty
but the truth I do not buy at all are very expensive… but to give me one pictures “i love it”.
The picture thati like was “Mermaid”
In the second gallery I like me the picture of the child … How It’s Made!!!. …. the artist to have patience great to make something like that,its nice, and sad.
That I like me they were the tires have engraving of cultures.
That I do not like me it was the “dress” of hair with blood it is disagreeable..
I like to go with everyone ….. thank you.

well, as told my colleagues is very difficult talk about art and more if you don’t know anything about art. I think that the art is when one picture, sculpture or even one image, makes you feel something or makes you remember something nice for your life.
In the first place named 1er piso, the place looked very nice, comfortable but all the pieces I did bad for me I didn’t feel anything to see the works. the second place are very nice too and all pieces seemed things children I remember my childhood well that’s all.

Hi!
Before giving my opinion on as of the two exhibitions I like more I want to make clear that I of art do not know much.
But good we begin with the first exhibition, in my opinion some pictures seemed to me pretty and interesting but others I did not understand to them, in which I talk about the sculptures did not like.
Because I did not find much sense him in addition that to me they became very expensive.
In second exhibition command post one became but interesting and showy although some sculptures and pictures done with human hair seemed to me very disagreeable.
Perhaps, it is because I am not artist and I do not see any sense him the use of those types of materials.
It is all.

well, the first gallery was interesant but I think is very subjetic talk about this things, for example for me was very interesant a picture “Dreams” when for a other person this picture was a very little interesant.
In the second gallery a don´t understand the shoes, but I thing is interesant this work.
The work made with hair in the second gallery was interesant for me.

In the two art galleries I like everything in special in the “tercer piso galllery” I like one painting and the name of the painting in “la espera a terminado”. I like because

exhibit one couple having marry, and I think is beautiful.
In the University was more interesting the art but some strange, in my opinion but the art make´s me feel diferents feelings and that it´s important no?

Dears Classmates:
Im Ivan, Im going a tell my experience in the gallery of art.
The Thursday ,I and my classmates of English UCEA had amazing day ,we were in the museum last week and visited different museums of art in the city of Guanajuato.
The Bets gallery for me was of the “Bar” because I felt emotions, excited and sad. The true I believe that was grant experience for whole group.
The paint that I fall in love was the called “Alone woman “ with her dress, hat, and long hair .¡Ohh! was beautiful. The picture was so cute.
The picture was done with colors white and black ,but the artist gave deep with love and I having seen the paint felt much sad because the woman was expressing Loneliness. But I felt love, emotions and passion.
The Contemporary Art, In the world is very estimated but the true is that I don’t like it.
Specially the Abstract Art, but there’s paints that express feelings and that come in the soul.
The UG’s gallery , I don’t like it I felt that was only trash.

in my opinion the art gallery the second was the best. I like the ball the hair also the first place I don’t like.
I like the second gallery the shoes, matress that had map also the screen that showing the dancing wiht painting well that´s all

the art is for more people a different thing that other people, it`s subjetive, because I have a concept that and others have other one. The first gallery I don`t like very much me, but the picture that more like me was the “the wait has ended” because it`s have to 2 persons marrying and it`s beatiful, but the images are ugly.
The other pictures I don`t like bacause are sad and don`t have color.
The second gallery I don`t like except the bottle of coca-cola, but the others things are very ugly more the shoes, the ball of hair were giving disgust.
I never will buy these things. The bottle of coca. cola is interesting but it was the only thing, these art I don`t like and it`s very ugly. But the this visit was good for the group.

Well, I like the art and I agree with you, talking about art is difficult because everyone perceives it in a different way. Before I didn’t like to go to the galleries but in the High School I had a good teacher in the subject of Artistic Appreciation, I had to go to many events and galleries, now I like the art.
The first gallery I didn’t like it, it was boring for me because I didn’t understand the work of the painter and the pieces looked all the same but with different name, for this reason it was not good for me.
In the second gallery I enjoyed the pieces that I saw in the entrance because with these pieces I remember to my friend Ariad, she made pieces with recycled things that found in the way, for example: screws, nuts, feathers of birds, bottles, boxes, paper and other things, also she painted and played piano. She died a year ago and when I see similar things that she made, I think about her and in all those years that together we enjoyed the art. My favorite piece in this gallery was the drop made with hair, I never had thought to make something with hair! Who made it was very creative, for this reason I liked it. I like that people use recycled things for make art. It’s fascinating and amazing!

Hi!!
Well, first I don´t know anything about the art or maybe it will be that I don´t know appreciate the art, and I think that visit to art gallery was very boring, because yuo only go walking and seeing paintings that I think it was not interesting or important.
Well, the paintings don´t liked me, but there was one that seemed fun, because the tittle was “Not tonight, I have a headache”, it was a naked girl seeing trought the window.
The painting that seemed me very bad was, one painting where was a cat with a fish over him and it named was “We have looked before each other”.
I think the paintings were very bad and I think that if I will have money to pay a painting, I won´t buy it, I would buy something more important for me, like jeans, t-shirt, shoes, I don´t know.
That´s all.

During history of the man and the art to comprised a way to express its feelings because the primitive man painted in caverns and now the modern man to express itself and to show its art the art gallery they are a form to sell its paintings.
In the fist art gallery the paintings were a little ugly in my opinion and expensive
Because those paintings they were without color and I do not like those paintings.
In the second art gallery the exhibition was very enormous and more beautiful the paintings have color and more life but also in the exhibition the authors showed the art not with paintings but also with shoes found by the street.

my experience in the first galery was a little boring because all the pictures were the same colors and the same technique.
The picture that more like me in this galery was “esperando la respuesta divina” or some like this I don’t remember jeje.
Well, in the second galery the exposition I think was more interesting and creative, the piece that more like me was (same to Jesus) the child made whit hair, i like because the technique i thin’n is very innovative.

In the first exposition in the “3er piso” I don´t like very much, because the pictures were small and sad, I feel it. Because this type the art I think is more “dry” for me. The picture more like was “Esperando la primavera” because I like me the lines and the idea. I think that this exposition was old and rustic decor.
In the second exposition I like, because the space for see the pictures were biggest and have more light. The exposition in general I like me, but the piece I like was the men made for hair was to the left to the entry door. This exposition I think that is more modern.

Visiting an art gallery”
Hi friends.
hello companions I could not visit the gallery with all you, but I work in the restaurant that this in the same building that the gallery, “el cafe galeria”.
but this weekend I went to see the exhibition, not, if it were the same exhibition that you saw, because they change apparently it constantly, but like some of you I agree, the exhibition is very flat, the techniques are not very good, I believe that I have observed better jiji.
unfortunately I could not go to see another gallery for want of time, and it is not possible to compare, because the truth if I enjoy much to observe this type of exhibitions, to know the techniques painting and art and to in the last go to museums… although months I do not have time ……….. excuseme!

for me was a great experience to visit a gallery with my classmates, the first gallery i like very much, much of the second gallery, 3 piso (name of the first gallery), there was paints of linen and serigraphy, too was ceramic piece by Angélica Escárcega, she is wife of José Luis Méndez. i remember when i was little girl, i went with my father to “jarrilla” with them. to paint the ceramic, is a beautiful memory that i have, in the time that i was in this gallery i was very happy.
the majority of the drawing is of linen.
i liked much the decoration of the ceiling and the place the owner is my friend!
the second gallery that we visited in the university, i don´t like very much, isn´t the art that i know, that i value, that i like, only i liked like two pictures and a cocke bottle in broken pieces.
for me, was things that no have importance.

Hi everybody! the visit to gallery really i can’t enjoy, because i haven’t a lot of knowledge about art. in the fisrt gallery only i like two pictures, one was called “la carta” and the other was called “la espera ha terminado”, that pictures were the most interesting for me.
In the second gallery i like many of the artworks. The first the child create with hair and the drop. The bottle that was broken too was interesting.
I think that the second gallery was more interesting than the first, because that tell me more things.
I hope in other ocation can to talk more about art.

Hello… i hope that you fine. I want to talk about the galleries.
the first gallery i don’t like because i don’t understeand nothing. In fact i think that all the pictures was very similars. I only interest one picture called la carta.
the design was beautiful in fact the roof was beautiful and the vases too are beauty.
Well the artwork is interesting but in this gallery i think that is not so interesting.
The second gallery was more interesting for me because that uses more things current. Because was of the Femsa company and have a lot of things. the most interesting for me was the artwork that uses blood and hair.
i don’t like much the drop with hair. And the shoes was rare because all was old.
After all my friends and i walk under the church company was an exposition that was so interesting because that represents the future and the images was a lot emotives.
Well that is my opinion about the artwork. Maybe after i’m more interesting in that.

HI EVERYONE!
I think that the first galery had a good artwork and like me the roof because was difent to other place(have movement).The art is very coomun are pictures and the topics was centered in sex most of the time, I think that some time is grotesque.
When we went to University building was so difent, the art was unic. I like the man hair, yes was meking with human and sintetic hair. I was surprised because need patient a lot to do it.
I liked to visit these galleries and observe the work of some artists.
I believe that art should not only be symmetrical but can be anything that reflected the feelings and thoughts of the artist

I going to move to other departament because I’m uncomfortable in this house, may be I expect to found a place where I do that I want but I don’t feel good now.

in the first galery that I saw, the artworks were a little boring, because all of them were very similar and i don’t like that kind of art, because all of them were in blank and white and very simples.
in the second galery that i visited at the “facultad de derecho” the art was realy interesting because that’s the type of art i like because their colors.
if i had the enough money i don’t should spend my money in any of that artworks, i’d like to buy an artwork from another art gallery.

My experience in the two art galleries that we visit was a little boring, because I had never gone to an and I don’t know of paintings.
The first gallery was the most boring, because I didn’t understand the paintings, neither I didn’t understand the relationship of the painting with the title.
The second gallery was more interesting, although it was something strange for the things that were being exhibited.
In general it was very boring for my.

Hi!!!, Well my expirience in the galleries were very goods, because I like visit this place, the second gallery was good for me but the paints are very expensive for me maybe because I liked me only somethings.
The workart is very interesnting and beatyful that the people can make diferents things with the garbage, per example in case of coca cola in the polivalente gallery where with old`s shoes had making one workart.
